According to a recent report, Honda has fast tracked production of the CR-Z Turbo.
Details are limited, but Autocar is citing unnamed sources who say the model is an urgent priority as CR-Z sales are declining as buyers are finding the car's sporty styling isn't backed up by meaningful performance.
While the CR-Z is currently offered with a hybridized 1.5-liter engine with 122 hp (91 kW / 124 PS), the turbocharged variant is expected to use a 1.6-liter that produces 160 hp (119 kW / 162 PS) and 200 hp (149 kW / 203 PS). This will certainly add some much needed pep, but it remains to be seen if consumers will give the car a second chance.
A debut could occur as soon as the Tokyo Motor Show, but nothing is official as of yet.

Jointly-developed by Honda and Guangqi Honda Automobile (previously known as Guangzhou Honda Automobile), the Everus features angular lines and an Acura-like grille.
While details are limited, the concept is likely based on the Honda City. This means power will be provided by a 1.5- or 1.8-liter engine with at least 120 hp (89 kW / 122 PS).
Look for more information to be released when a production version debuts at the Guangzhou Motor Show.

Honda cancels development of V10-powered NSX successor
Amid the announcement of its third profit warning of the year, Honda has confirmed that it has canceled plans for the launch of a successor to the NSX supercar. The new V10-powered model was expected to arrive in the United States next year as an Acura, but sadly all development work on the car has come to an end.
Honda CEO Takeo Fukui confirmed the plan in his end of year speech, saying that all development of the car would cease. Fukui also revealed that plans to introduce the Acura brand to Japan in 2010 have all been canned, reports Automotive News.
