Top AutoSpies.com News
There is an old adage that says, “News never sleeps.” How true that statement is. There really is never a moments rest when trying to bring the latest news to you here at AutoSpies.com. There is another old saying used by another news organization that simply said, “All the news that’s fit to print.” How fitting a statement this week as
Agent001 found himself without words “fit to print” when describing the Acura TL as fugly. We all know what he meant, but words “fit to print” aren’t available when describing the new TL from Acura, and a lot of you chimed in to offer your opinion either for or against this baffling design direction taken by Acura. Needless to say, this Beak is not Sheik!
Porsche again took the spotlight this week as the official color selections were announced. Of course with Porsche, those with enough money can get whatever color they want both inside and out with the Porsche personalization program.
Agent001 posed the question asking which car would you buy, the ’09 Carrera S or the BMW M3. Opinions varied and some very valid arguments were made for both cars. Ultimately you really don’t lose by choosing either model, as they are both great cars.
Sounding like the old Motley Crue song
“Girls, Girls, Girls” we had the opportunity to check out the latest fashion offerings at the
Mercedes Fashion Show. Agent001 drew the short straw and as such was forced to cover this event, however he upheld his Agent duties in capturing some of the most beautiful woman on earth as they modeled the latest in beach attire. Although not finalized yet, the rumor around the AutoSpies.com office is that next year Agent001, 004, 009 and 00J will all be part of this excusive show. We will keep you up to date with the negotiations (and perhaps a sneak preview of 001 in his thong!)
One Hundred Thousand Dollars is a lot of money to most people, but that didn’t stop
Chevrolet from starting production on the new Corvette ZR1. This super Corvette has gotten a lot of attention lately, and we look forward to seeing it face off against some of our favorite cars in the coming months.
Finally the guys over at
Top Gear Magazine made short work of the ONLY Nissan GT-R in the country at the time when they got rear-ended by an Audi R8. I am not making any judgment calls here, but what I do know is that if either Nissan or Audi drops off a GT-R or R8 at the AutoSpies.com office, we, as the highly trained Agents we are, PROMISE not to crash either car, especially into each other!
With all that said, remember Spy Before You Buy, and Have a Great Weekend.
